DIY Cheer Bows

Easy to make cheer bows.
Simply get two ribbons about 20 inches long and glue gun them together.
Fold as above and then simply pinch and cinch with a pipe cleaner.
Cover the pipe cleaner with a ribbon glue the hair tie on the back and glue the ribbon over it.

**Just remember to ask how many girls before you volunteer to make them. 50 took quite a while. :)
But they sure looked cute!

Good Ideas for Digital Photo Books

I love making digital photo books. I never pay anything but shipping. My favorite sites are: Shutterfly, ArtsCow, Snapfish, Paper Coterie, and My Publisher. All of theses companies are always offering free books. Make sure you google search for a coupon code before you place your order because the codes are always out there some where. You just gotta look.

So I like to make photo books by theme. I find that it is easier to complete a project faster.
Here are some of the themes I have done:

1. My First 5 Years

2. Baby's First Year

3. Year in Review

4. Song lyrics going through the whole book:( Let Them Be Little, Baby You Belong)

6. Diaper Days & Bubble Baths (Every pic of your kids in diapers and bath time fun)

7. Family Pictures (watch the family grow through the years)

8. Let's Play Dress Up (All those cute, silly costumes, face paint, halloween)

9. Colors (Pics of the kids with a main color and then a list of the family's favorite colors.)

10. Camping Trips (All trips in one book.)

11. Disneyland (Pictures of 3 different trips)

12. Beach pictures

13. ABC book about me. (Paper Coterie has a great template for this!)

14. We <3 Daddy

15. Pregnant Pics (My husband painted my belly for each pregnancy.)

16. Wedding Book (Its always nice to have more than one perspective at the wedding.)

17. The Story of Baby Jesus (I took pics at the kids kindergarten pageant and turned it into a Christmas treasure.)

18. All About Wheels (Fill it with pictures of bikes, tractor, wheel barrow, strollers, scooters, rollerblades, push cars, wheel chair, wagon, skateboard, sports car.) Lots of great conversation with a little one.

19. Rain (used poem by Lansing Hughes April Rain song. Gathered all my umbrella pics, rain boots, rainbows and added different songs all about rain.
I am sure I will get more photo book ideas over the years. Get started its never too late. And think little steps, theme, something you enjoy doing.

Perfect Playdate Snack

Having 4 kids means lots of hungry kids and friends. Whenever I have a playdate I always take out my simple old fashion popcorn maker and make a tasty treat. Its funny how something so simple can be so much fun to kids. Now I have visitors come back and say to my kids, "When is your Mom going to make popcorn?" Nothing like popcorn and melted butter to make the day even more special.
** Just be sure to get the vacuum ready.
You can buy this Popcorn maker at Bed Bath and Beyond for $20.
My friend told me to try Coconut oil as the flavor. Gotta remember to try that.

Soft football helmet DIY

I searched everywhere for a soft foot ball helmet. For some reason I felt my baby needed a cute soft helmet. He actually seemed disappointed that I wanted him to wear a bonnet looking item. I only convinced him with a lollipop.

I just bought some felt squares and then followed this Martha Stewart pattern on how to make a felt hat. Tweeked it a little and came up with a great NFL 49ers helmet. I wanted to add 49er patches but never made it that far.

Give for Real

Would you like better nutrition?
Would you like to make a difference in this world?

What if I told you that you could help fight malnutrition without even donating a dime?

Simply by making your daily habit of consuming supplements a child in need will benefit.

The model is DONATION thru CONSUMPTION

I have been on Mannatech supplements for over 13 years. I wouldn't go a day without it. My children wake up every morning and ask for the Manna Bears and Glyco Bears (vitamin)  with breakfast.

Look at what the Manna Bears contain:
Do your kids get all this nutrition everyday?

Just by giving my kids Mannabears each month my automatic order is also giving to a child in need. The program is Give for Real with Mannatech. I am so excited that my actions of trying to give my children and myself better nutrition benefits another child. Help me, help others! Consider making Mannatech apart of your diet today!!!

Aerial Swing Yoga

My sister is so into this! She feels like she is becoming more flexible, stronger and discovering her inner peace. Any kid who gets a hold of this can't ever seem to get enough. My kids love to  flip, swing,  and hang upside down for long periods of time. Its fun to encourage good healthy habits to kids and watch them so excited to show off their new tricks. And of course I have one now too. I haven't gotten into the upside down thing much much yet. But I do feel like my muscles are getting a good work out because isn't that was sore muscles mean?
If you want a Yoga swing, contact me my sister has plenty. :)

DIY Soccer Banner

I volunteered to make a soccer banner this year. Found out there really isn't much out there in terms of directions. But here is the finished product and I think it urned out great. I was lucky my daughters team was the Bumble Bees.  If you have a fence to hang it on then your in luck because it makes everything a lot easier. I just bought  1  1/2  yards of black felt, 1/2 yard of yellow felt and 4 white felt squares. I used a lot of hot glue and made the bees first. Then glued the bees and letters onto the banner. Used puff paint for the girls names. Put two holes on either side, glue a washer around the whole and put a binder ring clip through and hang it on the fence.
